In the last chapter of The Secret, Rhonda Byrne gets to it's real message:

"The earth turns on its orbit for You. The oceans ebb and flow for You. The birds sing for You. The sun rises and it sets for You. The stars come out for You. Every beautiful thing you see, every wondrous thing you experience, is all there, for You. Take a look around. None of it can exist, without You. No matter who you thought you were, now you the Truth of Who You Really Are. You are the master of the Universe. You are the heir to the kingdom. You are the perfection of Life. And now you know The Secret."

I couldn't help but contrast this with a worship song we sang at our church recently: Not To Us, from Chris Tomlin's album by the same name.  Here's the last verse of the song:

In The Secret, the "You" is us as humans--we are the center of it all... we are god.  Chris Tomlin appropriately captures the Biblical worldview: the YOU is God.  It's not about us--it's all about Him.  Though that message may not sell mile-high stacks of self-help books, it's a message that has changed countless millions of lives--including mine--providing true hope, fulfillment, and peace that will never come with the empty promises of The Secret's New Age worldview.  Andy Kaufman, Illinois, USA.

"I was given a copy of The Secret as a gift from my SISTER. I couldn't believe it. I hope it was a grab & go purchase but my concern is that it is deceiving to young Christians.
